Pharmaceutical exterior packaging for a leading pharmaceutical company in Europe

Starting situation:

A manufacturer for pharmaceutical applications was looking for a protective packaging for its products that meets the high demands in the pharmaceutical industry.

Challenges:

The customer wanted a reliable automated feed and sealing process. Non-folded seams and absolutely secure sealing of thick plastic bags were both vital. In addition, it was necessary to monitor and document the production processes with respect to sealing and vacuum.

Our solution:

A comprehensive concept was developed following a series of advance tests conducted with the customer’s products.  To ensure the safe feed of the bags, special feed systems were developed. A VPN (virtual private network) access and expanded logs and monitoring were added to facilitate a safe and traceable production.
