A comprehensive solution for all challenges

Starting situation:

Our South African customer, specializing in pork products from ham to fresh meat, regularly adapts to market changes and pursues an ambitious growth plan, including the development of new markets. The existing packaging system with double chambers, an older belt machine and a shrink tank was no longer sufficient.

Challenges:

The customer was looking for a packaging line that would solve each and every problem, be “future-proof” and meet the budget. The goals were higher capacity with the same space, better product presentation, longer shelf life, less dependency on the operator and easy future automation.

Our solution:

The GK 862 and punching knives ensure ideal product presentation. Password-protected special settings guarantee correct vacuum packaging at all times, regardless of the operator. A split belt enables subsequent automation. The AT 15 shrink tank shrinks the packaging at low temperatures, is 100% insulated and prevents the ambient temperature from heating up. The AC 15 cooling tank enables maximum shelf life thanks to cold shock and preserves the color intensity of the products –they appear fresher and more brilliant. The BL 15 dryer is used for automatic drying and direct labeling. The customer can further increase capacity in the future by adding an additional pump.

With this solution, all current challenges are solved, and the customer is ideally equipped for further growth.
