From manual labour to automation: Successful packaging optimizations for our customers in Eastern Europe
Initial situation:
We successfully implemented a challenging project to automate the packaging process for our Eastern European customer. The initial situation was that although the customer was using a Flowpack machine, a fully integrated automation solution was not yet available. This resulted in a high manual workload and associated personnel costs which made the production processes inefficient.
Challenges:
The challenge was to develop a solution that seamlessly expands the existing packaging process, integrates the existing Flowpack machine and allows for an efficient degree of automation at the same time. All the components had to be perfectly matched with each other to ensure the continuous and reliable packaging of the pork delicacies over the course of a two-shift operation.
Solution:
Our solution included the integration of several innovative elements into the existing system. In addition to the Flowpack machine, we implemented a specially developed rotary module and a 90-degree angle conveyor. The system was supplemented by the GK 862 B, AT15 and BL15 packaging machines which we integrated into the customer’s workflow with precision. The result is a fully automated packaging line which enables the customer to make their packaging processes more efficient, significantly reduce their labour costs and increase their production capacity at the same time. The successful implementation of the project has not only improved the competitiveness of the customer, it has also enabled them to implement a modern and forward-looking packaging solution which is perfectly adapted to their requirements.
