Fully Automated Packaging of Fresh Pasta Sheets in Italy

Starting situation:

Our customer is a company in Italy, which has grown from a small pasta workshop to a global brand for different noodle dishes. Today, the company is selling in more than 60 countries. It also produces traditional Italian fresh noodles. For this, a one-of-a-kind machine was designed that faithfully imitates the manual work done by people. Today more than 100 tons of fresh pasta are produced every day.

Challenges:

For the further growth of the company, the customer banks on fully automated lines that can grow along with the company. Since the lines are run by multiple shifts, they need to provide a high output, and safety, reliability and efficiency are also vital. Other major aspects are precise planning, quality of the components, regular maintenance and monitoring services as well as compliance with statutory rules and standards.

Our solution:

Our type Supervac GK 862B packaging machine is integrated as one section in a fully automatic packaging line. The fresh pasta sheets are first wrapped on a flow pack machine, automatically transported to our Supervac packaging machine, vacuum packaged and finally handed out to downstream transport systems. Communication with upstream and downstream machines is 100% guaranteed.
