Question: How many years have you been working at Supervac?
Answer: I’ve been with Supervac for more than 20 years.

Question: What exactly is your job today?
Answer: From the quality check of incoming parts up to the final check of the finished machines – plus all the varied tasks in between. In short: the entire quality and manufacturing process.

Question: What does your typical day-to-day routine look like?
Answer: First thing in the morning I arrange things in the workshop, discuss the progress of machine projects with my colleagues and coordinate everything closely with the operations manager.

Question: How did you acquire your expert knowledge over the years?
Answer: By constantly building different machine types and by means of a focused discussion of ideas, including talks on-site at our customers’ premises.

Question: How do you impact the quality of our machines?
Answer: Regular discussions on the team and very meticulous final checks.

Question: What makes you most happy about your work?
Answer: Our collaboration and swapping ideas between different departments.

Question: What is the success you like looking back on?
Answer: The quick detection of vacuum leaks – a very satisfying feeling.

Question: What are the challenges in your day-to-day work?
Answer: Coordination between Production, Purchasing and Technology.

Question: How are today’s machines different from those 20 years ago?
Answer: The safety components have become far more sophisticated.

Question: In your eyes, where are machines in the food industry heading going forward?
Answer: More automation when loading the belt machines and stricter monitoring of the packaging process – the demand is already present today.
