The Supervac company was founded in Vienna in 1952. A few years later, the first single-chamber vacuum packaging machines were manufactured and sold in Austria. With the success of the packaging machines, other business segments of the company were put on the back burner, and from then on the focus was on the manufacture and optimization of the machines according to customer needs.
In the 1960s, the export of machines started. A major impetus for further growth came with the development of a double-chamber vacuum packaging machine. Bit by bit, the machines were initially installed in Europe and from the 1970s onward in export regions such as the United States, Australia and the Far East as well.
After several models of single-chamber and double-chamber machines had been developed, the product portfolio was expanded with the first vacuum chamber belt machine in 1973. The range of machines and options was continually expanded based on the requirements of our international customers.
In recent years, essential steps have been taken for the further development of state-of-the-art packaging technology. For one, numerous solutions in the area of automation of packaging lines were developed and successfully deployed by customers. This includes the “Superbagger” fully automated packaging solution, the “Easybagger” semi-automatic variant as well as smart connections to flow pack bag machines. In addition, the product range of shrink packaging lines was expanded by a cutting-edge cooling tank to optimize the shelf life of fresh products by packaging.
In May 2021, the company moved from Vienna to Mödling into a new, leading-edge company building. “We want to develop, manufacture and approve our high-quality machines in the best possible environment,” says Managing Director Alexander Aigner. Today, machines are delivered to 130 countries in the world, and together with 55 representative offices worldwide, optimal service and sales are offered to the customers of Supervac.
The Company is well prepared for the future. The cornerstones of long-term perspective, focus and quality guarantee it. The company’s employees think in the long run when it comes to the present and future needs of our customers. Furthermore, the focus is on top-notch complete solutions for vacuum packaging. After all, quality is the key to the long-term success of Supervac. Alexander Aigner describes the core of the brand: “Today and tomorrow, Supervac stands and will stand for flexible applications, aesthetically pleasing packaging and maximum shelf life of products.”
